its in this interview that he is saying that another academia was almost formed around danger de mort days and that they even have a proposition for a concert or playback in las vegas but he backed out of the plan because he said to himself that he'd leave quartier latin to go solo and they abandonned it (similar to what happened with heritier in the period prior to fabregas leaving, heritier also backing out last minute and miel lobeso and co staying in the band)
We keep hearing about this second version of Academia but none of the musicians are naming names on who was meant to participate in that project. In hindsight it was a good decision that Fally refused, because look at what happened to Sam Tshintu and Bouro Mpela.

In hindsight it was a good decision that Fally refused, because look at what happened to Sam Tshintu and Bouro Mpela. At least Sam and Bouro got an successful album and tour from forming Academia, Viagra was the launch pad for Pitchou Concorde's career as a soloist, and many of the members settled in Europe as a result. If you saw the concerts of 2005, it was time for 5eme revolution to happen. Fally, Ferre, and others had two to three songs in their name, they did the successful venues, and cultivated an aura around them. Fally probably learned from the mistakes of his peers (Montana, Suzuki, Willy Bula, ect) that tried to go solo prior and exploited certain journalists who felt sidelined by Koffi. I was a little young then, but 2006-09 was the perfect storm to break away from the major group
