During Nyoka Longo's arrest in the ngulu affair in November 2003, Zaïko Langa Langa had already spent 14 months in Europe. This was quite a long time, since most bands would stay in Europe for 8/7 months when it was long. In that era, only Academia spent 10 months(2000-01)  and  King Kester Emeneya stayed as long as 21 months in Europe with his band (2001-03). What was the reason for Nyoka Longo to remain in Europe for such long period before getting arrested ?

the version i heard back then was that ya jossart had taken a lot of money of ngulu without taking them on tour so he was receiving threats,because some guys went to see an authority who was angry with him already over a woman thing,i remember even late nono got threatened because he travelled with a ngulu passport as he finally made it to the tour

Was that the reason Nyoka Longo wasn’t paying his musicians during the tour, having to pay debts to those people ? Because I remember that there were tensions within the band, because they didn't receive the money of Zenith nor that of Eureka. Which led to  musicians like Daniel 6600 volts and Trocadero ending up running away in Ireland with Nyoka Longo later attacking them in interviews, claiming they had done nothing for Zaiko and had no role models, while he and Bimi were looking up to Tabu Ley, Yeye National and Los Nickelos

yeah i think so, encore ya jossart na mbongo lol,he tried his best to avoid problems but him and his admins had taken too much money to solve everything in time,they hoped to get a huge list like what bokul would get months later
