This is literally the only news posted on facebook about ferre that even his strongest haters reacted to like "fairs" or "it was about time" "now he understands the game",i have barely seen the usual bashing plus 1K likes comments

just discovered that what motivated this move was a change from sony east africa from sony france in order to prepare a future urban project and stuff like that so i think he gave his two early albums for more digital promotion

The administrative cost of managing one's catalogue is both complex and expensive, I'm surprised Ferre hasn't completed this deal sooner. Aside from Sony having a market interest in amplifying Ferre Gola's music across all platforms and venues, the deal provided the infrastructure needed to convert unpredictable future royalties into a substantial lump-sum payment for immediate investment or financial security.

This is about preserving the legacy and financial solvency of his brand as he grows older, he's 50-years-old with several children. You guys don't understand how music publishing and music asset management works, but he did a really smart thing. You sell structural parts of your music backlog, not everything, but enough for proper estate planning.
