he shouldn't be surprised. the industry needs new blood. the same 4 acts making all of the noise just isn't going to cut anymore. these young dudes are getting their lil training and leaving because they have ideas. the music is changing.
We need people like you here. I also dont go for the idea of artists overstaying in a band. We need new blood.

We need new blood.Do you know why TPOK Jazz was the most successful band ever? it's because unlike what others like Koffi and Werrason do, Luambo Makiadi got fresh talent quite alright but still respect his old guards and he fused all the new starts and old guards together to produce exceptionally good music. When you have too many new musicians in a band, it's like you're an academy where you're constantly training people and the quality of music is compromised, that is the trap that has befallen Koffi Olomide and Werrason, the high turnover of staff. Look at the numbers that have gone there and left and remain in oblivion,is that good for music? we had great musicians like Bouro Mpela,Sam Tshintu, Aimelia Lias, Serge Mabiala, Modogo, Fofo Le Collegian, Binda Bass, Flamme Kapaya and many more from Quartier Latin and Wenge Maison Mere just struggling to make a mark on the market,i don't think it's good for music.I have so much respect for the likes of Papa Wemba, JB Mpiana, Verkys Kiamuangana and Franco, great band leaders, Verkys and Franco made musicians and even produced them in-house and helped them with instruments. JB Mpiana and Papa Wemba having been helping their young ones too and even recorded on their boys musicians, that's how it should be not leaving abruptly and going on to become enemies.
Point taken but for JB Mpiana, Sly, you honestly think its been good for him all these years?......I do not think so. JB has failed to deliver a killer album since internet because of keeping his band on auto pilot due to non-functioning elements and I cant give out names as I will sound monotonous. This is why Balle De Match is long awaited because of fresh blood from singers to instrumentalists. Franco analysis holds a little bit of facts but that was 50/40 years ago when competition was between two bands only. Today, you have many bands competing for the same space and you cant risk being complacent with band members who cant bring in any new thing. Lets call a spade a spade, JB has failed in that area and we have to condemn him. Werrason did well after the post wenge split with fresh talented blood and when he had the brutal breakup of marquis maison mere, he could not fall hard on the ground because of the new artists he recruited, its only now that he has no formula but over time, while trying out many, he will fix the puzzle.
the reason jb rushed back to kin is that when bokul was arrested all big names were in high danger with police( werra and koffi even both did one day under police custody with their groups),the ngulu affair like they called it
SLY, you must be kidding right? QETP being the next best after TH?.......tell me which song can even touch the quality of beazodeguem in QETP!! do not overlook what I am saying here. Its the crop of musicians plus what you have said on recording qualities that make an album good. internet had the artists that can make a cd tick....Caludji, Titina, Afande, Biku, Richard Mukena, plus the now mikulis who were useful then. QETP only has the generique, Zed K (Zadio Kongolo) and liberez that stand out, and that's it. Kipe yayo even beats it at sound quality. SS, null and void, only the Generic Mpunda is good (Live version).

Off course he had to be surprised because unlike others, he confirms that he treated Chikito like his own son, gave him more than anyone else, he was well paid and by the time he was leaving he had two cars and he always was on the list of those travelling with Ferre so it came as a surprise but not shock as he puts it in his own words, it always happens in music just like he left Werrason in shock. He says he understands they all have to move on and wishes him the best.
chikito was treated well but perhaps being under ferre's wing is the reason why he has recognized his own potential to become his own artist and get his own ideas out.

Basically there is no improvement in his career by moving to Wenge Maison Mere because he'll still remain an employee, if he went solo i don't think he would have a huge following. All these guys who are successful today were patient and moved on when they were really mature, yes,Ferre and Fally went solo when they matured even in age,it's after many years of learning the trade as Chef d'orchestre's of two of congo's biggest bands, they cut out their own fanbases like Heritier Watanabe is doing currently.
LMAO aw man i didn't know he was going to another group. that's weird and counter productive. not sure what that's supposed to do for him
