...And the Patron is the reason for global warming too smh; just show me who has done more for Babia than Koffi. Tough love, Koffi not allowing Babia to play his copyrights forced the late to Man-up and it was fans in Angola that lend him their support, not the noisy bloggers and Koffi bashers

Out of site out of mind, which is why the hypocracy stretches beyond the music fraternity.

Fans can only support someone who is active and trying to showcase their work for instance We all know Suzuki Luzubu is a good singer and struggling but has he ever gone on camera to say he's preparing an album and sang some songs to warrant attention, no,he still sings old Quartier Latin songs, the same goes for many including Eric Tutsi etc, these days it's not expensive to showcase your work,there so many chaps with cameras and blogs doing promotion almost for nothing,if small boys like Gino, Eric Menthe and many others can appear in small interviews with bloggers what should stop Eric ,Suzuki and others, they should use those avenues to showcase their work and fans will support them.

Here's another great vocalist struggling with subastance abuse but us fans won't cease to support him or bring up his struggle just to ridicule his Patron, Musicians are easy targets and that's why the soft combattants pick on them...

I don't know what you argument is,how can we fans help musicians especially people like me and you and many of us here on forums who are thousands of miles from our homes and from where these musicians are? We cannot start pledging money or sending money by western union when we have no links to musicians, the only way we can help the musicians is by attending their concerts, buying their music and helping to promote them like we always do on forums such as this one.

The purpose of this debate going on about Koffi is not to bash him, it's none of our business who he helps and how he does it but we cannot help laugh and criticize him for his double standards and hypocrisy.

I don't like writing novels and summarising is not something am good at but i think for the benefit of outsiders who have no clue why Koffi is being criticised, let me repeat the facts by writing an essay for the last time.  Babia Ndonga rejoined Quartier Latin after pleading but even when he rejoined, he was sidelined and was treated like an ordinary member together with new musicians aged almost the same as his son, eventually he was indirectly kicked out especially after his vocals were deleted from the album Bord Ezanga Kombo. He went solo and started doing some concerts, he wanted to do one major concert called ''Koffi Olomide selon Babia'' and started rehearsing for it and was being interviewed even by top journalists as he prepared and what did koffi do? he went on tv to announce that only Cindy is allowed because everyone else just messes about with his voice,only Cindy interprets them better, that annoyed all former Quartier Latin members who spoke out in different interviews, Suzuki and Sam Tshintu had the courage to go on tv and responded effectively to Koffi, Babia simply backed off and asked JB Mpiana if he can interpret him,JB Mpiana said he had no problem with that but said it may not go down well with Koffi Olomide as that time JB and Koffi were in good terms so Babia got more frustrated and started composing his own album then moved to Angola were he carried on preparing his album and doing some playback songs in pubs infact some former Quartier Latin members who are in Angola said he was sometimes compelled to sing some Quartier Latin songs he featured on as fans demanded him to do so as he only had one song to his credit in all his time with Koffi Olomide.

Babia eventually got so desperate in Angola and all he wanted was to come to Europe till he died suddenly and now that's when Koffi Olomide came up to buy a coffin,send transport to pick up Babia's body from Angola and he handled the burial costs and now the same Koffi wants to produce Babia's album posthumously, for what? it is not just shameful but stupid!!

You've rightly given an example of Adjani, it is very clear that Adjani's problem is subtance abuse hence his voice got messed up and the guy just got worse and became a street guy, he at one point recovered,& years ago and Werrason allowed him to record one song (Simeon from the album Sous Sol) and we all thought he would be good now but he went back to his habits on the streets and started missing concerts as we've learned. He was given chance again and should have recorded on the upcoming album but we don't know if he's done so and if he's still around as he's hardly seen on stage at concerts and rehearsals, Werrason has tried his best, Adjani needs to work on his addiction otherwise he'll just waste away,he's unlike Babia who just needed moral support and a bit of financial support to strengthen his position as a solo musician.

Indeed, he had a 10 second vocal on one song,i bet the sound engineer couldn't delete it coz it was too short and close to the other vocals by others.

Indeed,Babia's family being so poor took the assistance with both hands because they actually had no clue on how to bring the body back, they were crying for the govt and those in diaspora to help so Koffi's help was appreciated though he still has to be reminded of the bad moves he made on Babia. All is done anyway,we hope Koffi and others have learned something from this infact all of us must learn to render help to those who need it not wait for someone to die.

Sometimes is good to speak positivity example Papa Wemba left the whole Viva La Musica in Europe in good conditions before going back to Kin to create Nouvelle Ecriture, if Koffi was a smart and kind man (not judging him as don't know personally but just a opinion) he should have done the same with the Quartier Latin at the time them all in Europe and tell them he wasn't to create a new team but this so call leaders including Koffi wants to sabotage his workers just ease yourself and if Babia was left in Europe he would have been able to make albums easily
