For me when it comes to Ferre vs Fally, Ferre is clearly the better singer and more talented in my opinion I think Fally is good singer he is no where to be matched with Ferre when it comes to singing or any of that but overall Fally gets the upper hand like his old boss Koffi (same with Papa Wemba and Koffi, Papa Wemba is more talented when it comes to singing and etc. but still Koffi is more popular (in my opinion better), Same with Fally his got a strong strategy like SLY said, Leadership and popularity which Ferre does not have.
Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion and there is no better opinion than others since opinion is subjective and relative. I waited for this album with baited breath and all i got is an anti climax. Just finished listening to all the songs.I am more of a rhumba guy and the only songs i can listen to more than once are Rosendan and Formol. The remaining 20 or so songs are bigger flops than Ingeta. I'll pass and keep on waiting for 13eme Aporte and BDM
I had to resurrect this thread having listened to Libre Parcours. It is an absolutely smashing album. It's not a perfect album since I am one for continuous improvement, but it comes close to it. I am a big Ferre Gola fan and I rightly acknowledge him as the better vocalist. I subsequently bought Dérangement for comparison. It is an unfair comparison, and that's not because Dérangement is only six songs, I leave it at that.I like the sebene on the album, some moan about the slows and the so-called 'oriengos'. I absolutely love them, they bring something unique & different to the music. It really is a question of taste, some will like it, some won't.I know it is a 'group' album but this is Fally's second best album after Droit Chemin.Best song? Cavalier! I urge you all to listen to it.
